The Unmanned Driving System Project Generally-Contracted by China Nerin for Electric Locomotives in Ninghua Xingluokeng Tungsten Mine was Smoothly Inspected and Accepted
On June 17th, the Unmanned Driving System Project generally-contracted by China Nerin for electric locomotives in Ninghua Xingluokeng Tungsten Mine was smoothly inspected and accepted. The intelligentization and informatization upgrading of the existing orepass loading and electric locomotive transportation system has started since October 2018. The unmanned driving system of electric locomotives was put into operation on March 31st 2019, and the project was completed, inspected and accepted smoothly on June 17th.
Ninghua Xingluokeng Tungsten Mine of Xiamen Co., Ltd. is one of the largest tungsten mines in China. The original transportation mode was orepass in the open pit + electric locomotives in the drift. For the purpose of enhancing the efficiency of transportation, reducing the number of workers, and fundamentally improving the operation conditions, an unmanned driving system for electric locomotives that highly integrates video acquisition system, network communication system, automatic control system, electric locomotive driving system, track signal centralization interlocking system, etc. has been introduced to construct a complete ore loading, transportation, unloading system. With almost 3 months of test run, the system now runs safely and stably and reaches the design and production indicators. The number of workers in the section is reduced by two-thirds, the transportation capacity is increased by more than 20%, and the overall automatic control level of the mine is greatly improved.
With strong support of the owner and the departments in China Nerin, the project team has overcame difficulties such as short period and no shut-down during the technical upgrading and successfully completed the requirements of the contract, which enables the project to go into operation, inspection, and acceptance smoothly and win unanimous praise of the Owner.
The directors of China Nerin Chief Engineers’ Office, Technical Quality Department and the project team participated in the project inspection and acceptance.
